What factors make nonverbal communication difficult to interpret?
Give an example of a time when you or someone you know misinterpreted nonverbal communication. What were the consequences
In an essay of at least THREE paragraphs
select the “issues” menu of the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) website. Click on “Issues” and select an issue of your interest.
Read the information. For your first letter, you need to write a letter to your congress person or senator (this is where you do your own research to find out who those people are) requesting them to support the issue based on some of the facts from the ACLU page. Don’t forget to give the ACLU credit in your letter (According to the ACLU, “43% of women return to an abusive relationship due to difficulty finding housing”).
Next, go to the Explore More section and select “press release”. This will take you to the rest of the information where you will read a press release about a specific case concerning the issue you’ve selected and write a SECOND letter to the decision maker in that case. For example: writing to the head of the U.S. Department of Social and Health Services advocating for him/her/they to support some type of action (you need to conduct some research to identify a person and address).
