Approaching Competence
Approaching CompetenceThe discussion of the purposes of the Nurse Practice Act and its influence on the candidate’s professional practice is inaccurate, or it is not supported.
EVALUATOR COMMENTS: ATTEMPT 1
The purpose of the Nurse Practice Act (NPA) is identified as a document that outlines the laws that physicians should follow. This is not an accurate description of the NPA. Please revise the discussion to accurately describe the purpose of the NPA and its influence on the nurse’s personal professional practice.
Approaching Competence
Approaching CompetenceThe submission identifies how the work environment is impacted, but it does not provide relevant details or examples of how each given point is impacted.
EVALUATOR COMMENTS: ATTEMPT 1
The discussion notes that the work environment can cause challenges, which supports the need for advanced education to understand these changes and contain disease. It is also stated that leadership is essential because it guides practice and influences decision-making. However, it is not clear how the work environment impacts leadership and decision-making. Please expand the decision to describes how the work environment impacts leadership and decision-making with relevant details and examples of each point.

“I see that Task 1 for Professional Roles and Values (C304) was returned for revisions. I would like to share some information to help with completing the task.

For E, one needs to discuss what is the purpose of your state practice act. Sometimes the practices act for you state will mention its purpose near the beginning of the act. If not check out Chapter 4 of your textbook. After you discuss the purpose please talk about how that NPA influences your own practice of nursing.

For H2, there needs to be more clarity in how Nursing Leadership, Decision Making and Professional Development is impacted by your work environment. Think about how your facility is managed and functions. What is its mission and vision? How does this influence your nursing leadership (influence)? How does this work environment influence how you make decisions? And last, how does it influence how you have developed professionally? What do they do?”
